The Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) is Sierra Leone's national public broadcaster, transmitting from Freetown on 100 MHz FM via Leicester Peak. Founded in 2010 through the merger of the historic SLBS — West Africa's earliest English-language radio service, dating to 1934 — and UN peacekeeping station Radio UNAMSIL, SLBC delivers national news, current affairs and public service programming to the Western Area and regional relay stations across the country.
